They can't be cousins and here's why: Kylo Ren is a discendent of Anakin, but anakin is NOT the son of palpatine. When Plagueis and palpatine was doing experiments with the Force something went wrong, as response, the Force retialiate and creates Anakin. SO Anakin is son of the force and rey should be Palpatine's nephew.
